Terms of Use
These Terms of Use (“Terms”) are an agreement between you and On App Lab for the Purposly mobile applications and this website. By downloading, accessing, or using Purposly, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app or site.
Our Privacy Policy describes how information is handled. It is part of how we operate Purposly; please read it as well.
1. What Purposly is
Purposly helps you pause before opening selected apps, choose an intention, and check in again later. It is a self-control and awareness tool. It does not provide medical, mental-health, or professional advice, and it is not a guarantee that you will meet any personal goal.
2. License
On App Lab grants you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use Purposly on devices you own or control, in accordance with these Terms and the App Store or Google Play terms that apply to your download.
You may not copy, modify, reverse engineer, rent, or redistribute the app except as allowed by law. All trademarks, the Purposly name, and the app design remain our property or that of their owners.
3. Your responsibilities
You are responsible for the apps you make active, the intentions you save, and how you respond to check-ins. You must use Purposly only in ways that comply with Apple’s and Google’s rules and applicable law.
On iOS, shielding depends on Apple Screen Time / Family Controls. On Android, detection of app opens may require usage access or accessibility permission. If you revoke those permissions, Purposly may not be able to pause those apps.
4. Free plan and Purposly Pro
Purposly may be used with a free plan that limits features (for example, the number of active apps, custom intentions, and check-in timing). Purposly Pro unlocks additional features as described in the app at the time of purchase.
5. Auto-renewable subscriptions
Purposly Pro is an auto-renewable subscription purchased through your Apple ID (App Store) or Google Play account. Prices shown in the paywall are charged in your local currency by Apple or Google.
- Plans. Weekly and Yearly options may be offered. The current price is shown before you subscribe.
- Free trial. If you are eligible, new subscriptions may include a 7-day free trial. Introductory offers are typically limited to one per Apple ID or Google account for this subscription group. After the trial, the plan renews at the then-current price unless you cancel.
- Billing. Payment is charged at confirmation of purchase, or when a free trial converts. The subscription renews automatically unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
- Cancel. Manage or cancel anytime in device subscription settings (iOS: Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions; Android: Google Play → Payments & subscriptions). Canceling stops the next renewal. You keep Pro until the current period ends.
- Restore. Use Restore Purchase if you already subscribed on this or another device with the same Apple ID or Google account.
- Refunds. Billing and refunds are handled by Apple or Google under their policies, not by On App Lab directly.
6. The website
This website is provided for information about Purposly. Content may change without notice. It may contain links to Apple, Google, or other sites we do not control.
7. Disclaimer of warranties
Purposly is provided “as is” and “as available.” To the fullest extent permitted by law, On App Lab disclaims warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that pausing, notifications, or check-ins will be uninterrupted or error-free. Platform limits (including Screen Time, accessibility, and notification systems) are outside our full control.
8. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, On App Lab will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, profits, or time, arising from your use of Purposly. Our total liability for any claim relating to the app or this site will not exceed the amount you paid to us for Purposly Pro in the twelve months before the claim (often $0 if you only use the free plan). Some places do not allow certain limits, so they may not apply to you.
9. Changes and termination
We may update these Terms and the app. Continued use after an update means you accept the new Terms. We may stop offering Purposly or any feature. You may stop using the app at any time and uninstall it.
