Privacy Policy
Purposly is designed to help you use apps intentionally, not to collect personal information. This policy explains what stays on your device, what Apple or Google may process for subscriptions, and how to contact us.
Purposly is operated by On App Lab (“we”, “us”). The official site is purposly.onapplab.com.
1. Information we collect
We collect only what is needed to run Purposly on your device: the apps you choose to make active, your intentions, check-ins, check-in time, and settings. We do not collect your name, email, contacts, or location, and we do not use analytics or crash-reporting SDKs in Purposly.
We do not ask you to create a Purposly account. If you email us, we will receive whatever you include in that message (typically an email address and the content of your question).
2. How information is used
This information stays on your device so Purposly can pause you before an active app opens, remember your intentions, schedule check-ins, and display your in-app stats. We do not use it for advertising or marketing.
3. Screen Time, usage, and accessibility data
iOS. With your permission, Purposly uses Apple Screen Time (Family Controls / Managed Settings) to pause apps you choose and to show those apps’ names and icons. This stays on your device, is not sold or shared by Purposly, and is never used for tracking across other companies’ apps or websites.
Android. With your permission, Purposly may use usage access and/or accessibility services so it can notice when a selected app opens and pause you before it continues. Purposly does not read the content of your messages, photos, passwords, or what you do inside other apps. You can revoke these permissions in Android settings at any time.
4. Notifications
We use notifications for check-ins. You can change notification preferences in the app or in device settings.
5. Data storage
Your intentions, check-ins, preferences, and related app data are stored locally on your device. We do not operate a Purposly account server for this data. Uninstalling the app or resetting Purposly in Settings deletes local Purposly data on that device.
6. Third-party services
Subscriptions are processed by Apple through the App Store or by Google through Google Play. Those companies process payment information under their own policies. We do not use third-party analytics or advertising networks. We never sell data to third parties.
This website is a static site. Your browser requests pages from our host. The host may keep standard server logs (such as IP address, browser type, and the page requested) to operate and secure the site. We do not place advertising or analytics cookies on this site.
7. Your privacy controls
You can delete local data by resetting Purposly in Settings or by uninstalling the app. You can revoke notifications, Screen Time (iOS), and usage or accessibility access (Android) at any time in system settings. To cancel a subscription, use your Apple ID or Google Play subscription settings.
If you are in a region with additional rights (such as access or deletion of personal data we hold), email us. Because app data is stored on your device, we generally cannot retrieve or delete that data remotely.
8. Children
Purposly is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
9. Changes
We may update this policy when the product changes. The “Last updated” date at the top will change. Continued use of Purposly after an update means you accept the revised policy.
